Comment	Trachyte with 10-15% plagioclase, sampled as nonvesicular boulder from agglomerate 20 ft above the base of unit, mostly conspicuous black to dark gray agglomerate, and scoria more abundant near top. Sampled where unit is 40 ft thick and fills in topography developed within Grouse Canyon Tuff; the upper 6-8 ft of the unit here, poorly exposed beneath Gold Flat Tuff, is nonvesicular. This unit doesn't outcrop on the southwest side of the canyon, and could represent a topographic high of near-vent exposure that is a cone facies, perhaps even of Pahute Mesa Tuff, which is directly underlying, and was sampled as SHLBME9. The unit sampled here is stratigraphically higher than other exposures of the unit mapped with symbol Tab on the geologic map of the Black Mountain 7.5 minute quadrangle.
