| Comment | Sample of core is pale brown devitrified moderately welded tuff with scarce pale brown to grayish orange pink pumice to 5 mm. Very pale yellowish brown to very pale orange medium grained calcite uniformly coats a fracture that intersects core at 15 degrees to core axis to form a 15 to 30 mm by 40 mm trapezoidal face. Common to abundant felsic phenocrysts include feldspar and very conspicuous quartz, both to 2 mm. Black biotite to 1 mm is scarce. No lithics were observed. |
