| Comment | Tuffaceous gravelly sandstone: Olive gray; moderately to strongly quartzo-feldspathic with substantial argillization and lesser zeolite, calcareous; subrounded to rounded pre-Tertiary rock fragments, up to cobble size, in a very tuffaceous, fine- to medium grained matrix of sandstone that contains partially altered feldspar and pseudomorphs after feldspar, black biotite, and zeolitic pumice fragments. Carbonaceous debris is present. This sample may represent a lahar. |
