CommentCore from 3870.9 to 3871.0 ft depths in drill hole U20N is very pale yellowish brown devitrified intrusive dike with very abundant feldspar, to 8 mm in glomerocrystic clots. White plagioclase and clear K-spar have similar abundances; quartz is evident but very strongly subordinate to feldspar. Black biotite to 3 mm is common; a single reddish brown mafic pseudomorph was observed. Fractured surfaces are lightly coated with manganese dendrites. Lithology is inferred as intrusive from stratigraphic relations with neighboring intervals.
