| Comment | This sample is pale olive gray vapor phase altered partially welded tuff with scarce white pumice to 10/2 mm and rare brownish black pumice to 18/5 mm. Common felsic phenocrysts include strongly resorbed feldspar. Rare mafics include some vitreous black, partly altered clinopyroxene and much hematite in spongy, equant masses, probably pseudomorphic olivine. Lithics are rare. |
