| Comment | This sample is grayish orange vitric moderately welded tuff with common pumice, including dark gray pumice to 80 mm that contains common feldspar phenocrysts to 4 mm, pale olive black pumice with scarce to common feldspar phenocrysts, white pumice to 8 mm, and common mingled black and white pumice. In matrix, scarce to common felsic phenocrysts include several grains of quartz. Black to very dark green, equant to somewhat prismatic clinopyroxene and olivine are scarce. Scarce to common lithics to 14 mm are mostly devitrified grayish red with common large feldspar phenocrysts. |
