| Comment | Sample of cuttings is pale red purplish gray potassic partially welded tuff with common white pumice to 5 mm and common felsic phenocrysts to 2 mm, mostly strongly or entirely altered feldspar, with highly subordinate, very small quartz. Highly bronzed biotite to 1 mm is common, and lithics to 1 mm are rare. Two emerald-green mafic pseudomorphs probably represent clinopyroxene. |
