| Comment | Outcrop sample is medium dark gray devitrified moderately welded tuff with scarce light olive gray pumice to 10/1 mm. Felsics are conspicuous, rare quartz to 1 mm and feldspar to 0.6 mm, partly altered to white clay pseudomorphs. Rare lithics to 3 mm are moderate red devitrified quartz-rich lava, probably comendite of Quartet Dome. Hairline fractures are stained with moderate red hematite. |
