| Comment | Nearly flat-lying basalt flows which cover a large part of Modoc County, in northeastern California. They form the southern part of a discrete, upper Miocene, basaltic province that continues northward into south-central Oregon and that lies along the northwest edge of the Basin and Range province. About 325 to 450 cubic km of high-Al, low-K, olivine basalt crops out in Modoc County. |
